Essentially done....
Done with my two presentations. The first one went by pretty fast. It's just a lot of math, and there isn't much happening conceptually (thanks to my joint representer, who covers all the conceptual points), so it's easy. The other one is way too vast, and the best I can do is to give an half-an-hour introduction to the field. The lecturer added comments here and there, totalling about 20 minutes, so the 30 minutes became almost an hour. As a result, the original plan, which was to have 4 speakers spending 2 hours, become a bit more than 3 hours in total. Oops.
I'm glad that my part is over in any case. The additional one hour or so is not a big problem.
Officially what's left for me to do to end this term is the final in the neural system class. But since I'm a physics major, I don't really care about the grades in that class. The goal of expanding my horizon has already been achieved. So I'm taking it easy. Maybe reviewing a bit, but I won't go to extremes to memorize everything.
It's party time!!?? ......not really.......qualification exam is coming. #$%@@*#$$#@. It's in a sense more important than everything else. Luckily I've passed one already, so there's only one to go.
Travel arrangement and visa application are also coming. I still need to pack my stuff and put everything in the storage room. I certainly need more time.
