Teaching schedule
I was told, today at noon, that I was assigned to a new class. It's still a lab class, but with a more advanced set of experiments. As a TA, I need to master all experiments before the students do them. First class is tomorrow by the way.
Nice.
Luckily the agenda tomorrow is organizing the schedule; there's no real lab section until next week. But there are more then 10 experiments, which means that I have to do all of them in one week, where each of them take 3 hours. And this does not include time for figuring out random device malfunction(s).
Sweet. There goes my first weekend, where things are supposed to be the easiest.

Okay, enough of complaining. At least it's not within-24-hour notice, and I still have some time to digest some stuff before the class.
The experiments are actually pretty interesting. And here goes the chance for me to stroll in to the lab anytime in the day, anytime in the week, and play with them until I'm satisfied. The first couple of weeks will be like hell though. But it will be fun, and now I'm more grateful than irritated to have been given the chance. How strange.
Let's just hope that they don't do this to me again in the future.
